How does the express quote form work?

Recent advances in technology allow us to pull relevant information about your policy using only your name, DOB, and Address. Disclaimer: This process only works if you have at least 6-months of prior continuous insurance. The information we receive will be vin #’s on all of your vehicles, your DL #, your liability coverage limits, other coverages on your policy (comprehensive, collision, rental reimbursement, etc.), and the names of any other people listed on your policy. What we won’t receive are the DOBs and Drivers License #’s of any additional drivers or your current deductibles, so a member of our team will reach out for that information if applicable. We will also reach out to confirm any above information we find. If you have all of that information readily available or you don’t have 6-months of prior continuous insurance, we encourage you to use our standard auto quote form, which will allow you to bypass our information confirmation process.

How long does it take Nashville Insurance Services to provide a quote comparison?

Will comparing quotes affect my credit?

What is an insurance declarations page, and why should I provide it?

A declarations page is a summary of your policy that shows the different coverages and limits included with your policy as well as your total premium. Your declarations page can commonly be found when you log into your current insurance provider’s website and is sometimes referred to as the “dec page” or “information page”. Providing us with this page can help us make sure we are getting you exactly the same coverage (or better) and can also help with various insurance company underwriting requirements.


+ Switching Policies

Can I switch my insurance to a cheaper option anytime?

Yes, you can switch insurance companies anytime. Insurance companies are required by law to refund you any “unearned premium” on a pro-rated basis at the time of cancellation. For example, if you paid for a full year ahead of time and then cancel your policy 2 months in, the insurance company would refund you around 10/12 of your original premium. Some companies charge a small early termination fee on your returned premium, but more often than not, your savings will outweigh the potential charge. Talk to your NIS Advisor about your individual situation.

How will I receive my new ID Card for proof of insurance?

Your new insurance company will send you a copy, but we will also send you your ID Card by email when we send over your application to eSign. Many of our insurance company partners also offer great apps that allow you to access your ID card and manage your policy from your smartphone.

Who do I contact if I need to report a claim or have a question about my coverage?.

For claims, we encourage you to contact your insurance company directly, this is because they will require numerous details about the claim that are better if they come directly from you.
